COPS,Trivandrum was started in 1967. It began as the first kerala government instituition to provide the B.Pharm Degree course. Earlier only the Medical College Kozhikode had offered D.Pharm. (Diploma).

Decades down the line, we see a instituition of excellence that has evolved as is proved by its alumini placed the world over. Now having under it D. Pharm, B.Pharm and M. Pharm (started in 1984) it is one of the few institutes reputed among the best in India.

The Trivandrum Medical College which encloses this institution cannot be ignored. Little has to be said about the reputation of the medical college which is definately the best in Kerala.
